Gertraud Rieger I was born in Bavaria, Germany. From 1982 - 1988 I studied at the Institute of Languages and Interpreting, Munich, with several periods of study in Moscow, including at the Pushkin Institute. In England I obtained the Pitman Higher Intermediate and the Pitman Advanced Certificate. 2003 - 2007 I studied at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich, leading to an MA in Social and Cultural Anthropology, Psychology and Philosophy. I have worked freelance as translator and interpreter since 1988, and within the framework of Lautner, Rieger & Schmidt since 1993. Conference interpreter and translator, state accredited, sworn and officially recognised, German, English and Russian. Membership of Organisations AIIC (Association Internationale des Interprètes de Conférence / International Association of Conference Interpreters) VKD (Verband der Konferenzdolmetscher im BDÜ / Association of Conference Interpreters)
